Bowie Resources Selects BUCYRUS Belt Conveyors

BUCYRUS is pleased to announce that its Belt Systems Division has earned a new longwall customer in the western region.

BUCYRUS is pleased to announce that its Belt Systems Division has earned a new longwall customer in the western region. Bowie Resources has selected Bucyrus as a partner for their upcoming belt conveyor requirements; the mine has purchased from Bucyrus a panel belt conveyor system consisting of a 54” Quad 400 HP Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Main terminal group with two (2) 54” Dual 400 HP VFD Tripper terminal groups. As part of the longwall rapid retreat / advance panel belt system Bucyrus will supply a 700’ belt storage unit which includes a 250 HP all electric AC VFD winch. This equipment is projected to ship in the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2008.
